These terms govern your use of VozIt! ("VozIt," "we," "us"), a citizen journalism platform. By creating an account or using VozIt, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who can use VozIt

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm the information you provide is accurate and that you're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

Reporting content

When you submit a report, you confirm that the footage is genuinely yours to share, that it was captured where and when the device data indicates, and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights. Every report goes through automated content moderation and 5W analysis before publication. VozIt may decline to publish, may blur graphic content, or may remove a report at any time if it violates these terms or applicable law.

You retain ownership of your footage. By submitting a report, you grant VozIt a license to host, display, distribute (including to VozIt's own social media channels), and — where licensing is requested by a third party — sublicense your content, consistent with the revenue-sharing terms on your account.

Revenue sharing

Reporters who opt into the revenue program earn a share of ad revenue, licensing fees, and assignment fees generated by their reports, at the rate associated with their current tier (Starter, Silver, Gold, or Platinum), as shown on the platform. Tiers and rates may be adjusted going forward; changes won't apply retroactively to revenue already earned.

Payouts

Payouts are processed through third-party payment providers and are screened for compliance with applicable sanctions and anti-money- laundering requirements before release. VozIt may delay, withhold, or reverse a payout if required by law or if we reasonably believe an account involved fraud, manipulated engagement, or violated these terms.

Prohibited conduct

• Submitting fabricated, staged, or recycled footage presented as original and current
• Falsifying or spoofing location, timestamp, or device data
• Manipulating votes, credibility scores, or engagement through fake accounts or coordinated activity
• Uploading content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that endangers an identifiable person without their consent
• Attempting to circumvent content moderation, watermarking, or account security

Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms. You can stop using VozIt and request account deletion at any time by contacting us — see the contact details below.

Disclaimers

VozIt provides tools to help verify and surface eyewitness reporting, but we don't independently fact-check every report, and credibility scores and community field notes reflect platform signals and user input, not a guarantee of accuracy. VozIt is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as VozIt evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated to users where practical.
